Gateway Prague Conference: A Deep Dive into Internet of Blockchains Future

Between June 3rd and 5th, 2023, the picturesque city of Prague played host to one of the most anticipated blockchain events of the year — the Gateway Prague Conference. For Chain4Energy, this in-person event was a golden opportunity to immerse ourselves in a sea of ideas, innovations, and conversations that could shape the future of the blockchain industry.

Over the three-day conference, we witnessed an impressive roster of 74 speakers deliver 42 presentations and participate in 10 panels. Alongside this were 18 interactive workshops held in the expansive expo area, sponsors’ lounges, foyers, and many side events.

The conference buzzed not just with the intellectual vigor of the day but also with the exhilaration of evening parties. From the DeFi Happy Hour on Saturday to the Validator Meetup on Sunday and the Game Night on Monday, there was no shortage of opportunities for networking and relaxation.

Our Takeways

One of the key takeaways, as our CIO Greg observed, was the focus on UX and adoption. The conference emphasized real-world use cases and the need to attract new users outside the existing blockchain sphere. This resonates deeply with our project’s mission at Chain4Energy, where we aim to bring new users into the blockchain space.

Fragmented liquidity emerged as a concern, with 2nd layer and rollups solutions gaining traction. Privacy was a hot topic throughout the conference, so much so that an entire event, “Privacy in Cosmos,” was dedicated to it on June 7th.

Our Marketing Manager Karolina found the conference to be a fantastic platform for networking. The diversity and caliber of attendees allowed for some truly enriching conversations, providing invaluable insights into the pulse of the industry.

From the Adam (Head of Product) perspective:

The Next Big Thing at the conference was a mobile EV charger using blockchain and tokens to charge electric cars. The solution presented by Chain4Energy was in line with both the spirit of the times but also the conference theme “bringing real world to cosmos”. All attendees were able to see, touch, try and see live how cool and future-proof this solution is……

The conference’s agenda was packed with thought-provoking presentations and panels. One of the standout moments for us was Dominik Skrobacz’s lecture, “Boosting Cosmos Adoption: Empowering eFuture,” where he represented Chain4Energy. In his talk, Dominik discussed how Chain4Energy is driving blockchain and Cosmos adoption in the energy sector.

Summary

In retrospect, the Gateway Prague Conference proved to be a perfect blend of knowledge sharing, networking, and celebration of the vibrant world of blockchain. The insights gained and the connections made during this event will undoubtedly help us at Chain4Energy to innovate and deliver more impactful solutions to the energy industry. As we look to the future, we remain inspired and motivated to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with blockchain technology.
